Building My Dream Boat

by Marlin Rechtzigel

A farmer by trade, the author spent eight years building a wooden sailboat in his pole barn. He studied the engineering, wood construction, and how to find the best materials. He drove to Washington State for the right tree for the mast. His advice to future builders, be sure to have a "falling chair." He finished his boat and sailed it down the Mississippi to New Orleans and the international wooden boat festival. The book has short chapters with lots of pictures.
